The graphics chip gradually separates from the motherboard, causing all kind of video problems including frequent freezing, over heating or a blank display. The graphics chip repair process used in this case is a Reflow to solder the chip back onto the motherboard. If the graphic chip itself is faulty, it needs to be removed and replaced by a new chip.
